FLASHBACK
this morning i opened the rotation closet... this is where toys go when they've become boring but still have some life left in them. i actually had two flashbacks!
flashback to christmas day last year at aunt heather's house. the adults had a gift exchange, and one lucky guy opened this beauty!
and he graciously thanked everyone. you see, this was a chinese gift exchange, so no one knew who brought the gift. a tip of momma's hat to the giver! not only did you manage to combine chinese and white elephant exchanges with your gag gift, you pulled it all off with a chinese calendar. touche! when the festivities were over and the real gift was presented, addison was happy to accept the calendar. and oh how you loved it! it went everywhere with us (several months later, momma had to hide it in the rotation closet, sorry punkin')! today, as you and the calendar were reunited, you said "oh mommy, i've been thinking about this in my dreams"! i guess it's back to stay.
next out of the closet comes the wobble penguin. suddenly, all i see is a trail of dust down the hall. cameron is nowhere to be found. momma finally spied you hiding in a closet.
you are terrified of that harmless little penguin. the sad (and funny) part is, sissy knows you're scared and teases you. she'll hide the penguin, and once you feel secure enough to emerge from your safe spot, she'll pull it out and send you sprinting back to safety!
flashback to christmases circa mid to late 1980's. momma was terrified of santa claus and dreaded his visits on christmas eve. there i was, shaking and teary eyed, hiding in the dark laundry room every single year. sometimes i had company (thanks ross), but i was usually on my own. would it not have been acceptable to let me in on the secret, mimi? apparently not. the tradition continued year after year until we moved from brady to victoria. it wasn't until then that your momma figured out y'alls po and great uncle john were the ones in that santa costume.

I love it, hehehehe. Addy - she is so lovable and hilarious at the same time. Great calendar by the way...cut that out and frame it!
