ALL ABOARD!

over the weekend, we hopped on 290 west and headed out to a little place called zube park in hockley (okay, really, it's like ten minutes from the house!).  daddy packed a cooler, we made a quick stop at buc-ee's for beaver nuggets, and then we were there.  zube park is home to a major model railroad system maintained by the houston area live steamers.  and yes, we were there to ride those cute little mini trains!

cameron was captivated.  addison... not so much.  cameron would wave bye bye with each group that left.  addison was not liking the wait.

after standing in line for fifteen or so minutes, we "boarded" the train!

daddy held on to addison while momma and cameron rode behind.  momma was a little surprised by the experience... those little trains get to goin'... the sounds of the rails and wheels were that of a full scale train, just softer... there were crossroads, bridges, stop lights, the whole enchilada... and the ride was not short.  we even went thru a forested area that hadn't warmed up from the night before and was a nice break from the sunshine!

after the ride, we played on a great little playground, and then took our lunch over to layla's house.  now this is momma's idea of a ride!
